I'm Kara — a Frontend Engineer and U.S. Air Force Veteran based in San Diego, CA, working remotely. With 4+ years of professional engineering experience, I work at the intersection of UI design, UX thinking, and frontend engineering, turning complex products into clear, accessible experiences.

My background spans data-heavy React applications, WordPress and Shopify sites, high-fidelity mockups, and design systems. Today I also build and ship my own products — EventMoments and BulkTrack — as an independent founder.

    Independent Founder & Product Engineer
    EventMoments · BulkTrack

    Designing, building, and shipping my own products end to end. EventMoments — a realtime event photo-sharing product on Supabase — has generated $1,000+ in revenue. BulkTrack has 20 paying users and $450 in revenue with zero ad spend, grown entirely through word of mouth.

    Frontend Engineer
    Turnberry Solutions — contracted to Specialized Bicycles

    Led the UX engineering track on specialized.com — one of the most iconic storefronts in cycling. Built the React and Next.js foundation, partnered with the in-house design team on interaction patterns, and shipped a component system consumed across the site.
